Lindsey & Marlin are Married!

When I first met with Lindsey and Marlin at my home, I knew right away that their wedding would be a day I anxiously awaited. These two were so laid back and I couldn't help but feel like I had known them longer than just a couple of hours. We didn't just talk about their wedding, we talked about each others lives and so much more! By the time our meeting was over, I felt like I had made new friends and still questioned if I hadn't met them before! I even asked my husband when he got home that night because these two were so friendly and familiar!

Lindsey and Marlin's wedding day was exactly how I imagined it would be. Surrounded by all their friends and family, these two had a day filled with laughter and so much joy from beginning to end. When I arrived to Lindsey's suite where she and her bridesmaids were getting ready, I was immediately welcomed so warmly by everyone. As soon as I hung Lindsey and the girls dresses above the window, it seemed the level of excitement for the day went through the roof! Photographing the brides "getting ready" details like her dress, shoes, and jewelry is one of my favorite parts of the day. When Im finished, I always love to leave them out on display... It is always fun to admire those special parts of the day even when the bride isn't wearing them yet!

Lindsey and Marlin chose a nautical beach theme for their wedding, so I loved that Lindsey decided to get ready at the beach in Rehoboth, DE. It made for the perfect setting and we were able to go out by the water for some photos before heading over to the VFW Mason Dixon Post where the ceremony and reception would take place.

Bayside and overlooking the Delaware Memorial Bridge in the distance is where Lindsey and Marlin would say their vows. I headed to the ceremony site a little early so I could snap a few of Marlin and his groomsmen. Just as I had imagined, Marlin and the guys were hanging out, drinking some cold ones, and enjoying the view. And maybe skipping a few rocks too... Everything about this day was beautiful. We were blessed with amazing weather and I loved so many of the nautical details that Lindsey and Marlin added to their wedding. One of my favorite parts of the day was shooting in front of Lindsey's fathers old classic car that he brought down just for the wedding. It just so happened to also be Cruiser weekend in Ocean City!

Lindsey and Marlin, I had so much fun with you and your families! Thank you so much for letting me take part in such a wonderful celebration. Your love for each other is so evident and true. I have no doubt that you two will live an amazing life together as husband and wife. All the best!
