Vicky & Chris are Married!

I met Vicky and Chris for the first time when we got together for their engagement session in Cambridge, MD. It was one of those sessions where I just could. not. stop. shooting! And I mean that literally. Every time I said we were almost done, I was secretly lying. Every time I said "last one" I took about 10 more... Chris probably wanted to kill me! The sun went down and we were still shooting... I did everything I could with my camera to keep these photos from coming out too dark because these two were beyond photogenic and the backdrop was straight out of a movie. SO! To say I was just a tad excited for their wedding day would be an understatement.

And just as I suspected. The same thing happened on their wedding day... The Addy Sea Bed and Breakfast in Bethany Beach, DE was the perfect sleepy beach town location for Vicky and Chris to become husband and wife. Nestled on the dunes, cedar shake galore, and a little boardwalk guiding you to the beach... it was something out of a Nicholas Sparks novel. I love that this was somewhat of a destination wedding for Vicky, Chris, and their families. Though coming to the beach has been a family tradition for years, both live over the bridge. It was so fun to see everyone packed into this quaint bed and breakfast. Every room was filled with family and with all the bedroom doors opened into the hallway, it felt like a big house party. From beginning to end this weekend was one big vacation and celebration.

If you follow me on Instagram, you will have noticed a few photos from this wedding already! I had to restrain myself from posting all of Vicky's amazing details of the day. I loved every single one of them! From her dress, to her sparkly Kate Spade sneakers, to both of their amazing wedding bands... everything had me wishing I could do my wedding all over again! Besides Chris and Vicky, I couldn't stop myself from taking a ton of photos of their flower girls! The tulle skirts were so adorable and I loved how they took their role in the day so seriously. They were ready to help with anything they could and admired the bride all day.

If I could have one thing at every wedding, it would be open air receptions. That means dancing under the stars, stringed lights overhead, and in this case, the sound of the ocean and salty air in the background. I just don't think it gets any more romantic than that. Vicky and Chris had their first dance at dusk and continued to celebrate through the night with all their family and friends.

Vicky and Chris, I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend such a beautiful weekend! Thank you for letting me be a small part of your love story. I wish you all the best and many more happy years of coming to the beach : ) All the love!
