This was, yet another beautiful spring weekend. Despite the beach being a little breezy, the sky was its deepest blue and the sun was shining bright. I met Amy in Fenwick at the most adorable beach home she and her bridesmaids were getting ready at. The nautical designs made me want to go back to my own house and re paint like the bedroom she got dressed in. It set the tone for this beach themed day and I couldn't get enough of it! Not to mention, the simplistic beauty of Amy's dress had me drooling. I am a minimalist in all aspects of life and this dress was right up my ally. I truly believe that sometimes the best details of a wedding day, can be the ones that don't have all the glitz and glam piled on.
Soon after hanging with the ladies, I made my way to the Salero in Rehoboth Beach, where the boys were getting ready and where the ceremony and reception would take place. The best thing about arriving to Greg and his groomsmen's hotel room, was opening the door and welcoming not only the groom and a few friends, but 20+ people, all squeezed into one tiny space! They were all carrying on and having such a good time. It was easy to see that this was a close knit family and they didn't mind cramming into a small hotel room to hang out and have a little party before the ceremony.
The ceremony was absolutely beautiful and following some photos on the beach we headed up to the reception where all of Amy and Greg's guests had the most incredible view of the ocean. I always compare these top floor venues to the feeling of being on a cruise ship. Looking out the windows, all you see is the vast ocean below you and it is always so breathtaking. Everyone danced the night away, especially Greg's sweet mother! I have never seen anyone have such a variety of dance moves! I definitely took a few pointers for myself...
Amy and Greg, thank you so much for allowing me to document such an incredible day. Enjoy all the wonderful memories to come as husband and wife! I wish you all the love in the world.
