Katie + Dustin are Married!

K&D-186

This was such a lovely day and one that will sit close to my heart. I am lucky to have known Katie since high school and when she contacted me to shoot her wedding day I was so excited. When I met with Katie, the one thing she really wanted in her photos was bright colors and lots of greenery. Well, I think its safe to say, that with such a beautiful day, we definitely achieved that goal!

Everything was stunning about this day. Her dress was perfect!! I am loving this new idea of not going with a white wedding dress ( I haven't had a single white dress for the month of May!)… and the color palette for the day was so soft and romantic. We took photos at the most amazing Friary, making us feel like we had stepped back into a medieval castle with beautiful cast iron gates, stone walls, archways, fountains, and spanish tiled roofing… could a photographer ask for more!? Not to mention the towering trees and gardens that hung over us like a canopy.

Katie and Dustin had a first look and the giddy laughter and smiles was more than I could handle. These two are seriously head over heals for each other. The best detail about this day was the favor for all their guests. Dustin plays the guitar and both Katie and Dustin have great voices, so together they recorded 5 songs and made a CD for all the guests. I am still kicking myself for not snagging one for myself before I left! I can't think of a more thoughtful and special way to say thank you then that! Kudos to you guys for winning the best wedding favor award in my book!

Katie and Dustin, you two are such a gorgeous couple! You made my day a breeze and I had such a wonderful time. Thank you so much for having me along for such a fun celebration with your family and friends. I can't wait to see you both again soon!
