I have been looking forward to this wedding all year! Allison and Joe were one of my first couples to book for 2013 and after our winter engagement session last January I knew that this day was going to be so wonderful. Allison and Joe were married in the Historical St. Martins Church in Showell. I had never shot a wedding at this place and the second I arrived I was blown away by its old beauty. The second I stepped inside it was like I was taken back in time. If I could go back and have my own wedding all over again, this is the place I would get married!
Allison also explained that her girls dress colors were the "Alison and Wonderland" blue. This was very cool because her name is Allison obviously and she could easily play the part of this fairytale character. Her beautiful blue eyes and blonde hair just fit perfectly. Now the absolute best part about this, is that the St. Martins church is HUGE. From the highway it looks very small but the closer you get to it the bigger it is and the smaller you feel. Sound familiar to a certain fairytale? When taking the photos of the bridal party in front of the church with their blue dresses it felt like I was in a fairytale and added so much magic to this day.
The reception was at Furnace Town, which is quickly turning into one of my favorite venues! Everyone gathered to celebrate with these two and dancing went well into the night. Joe even wrote a song and played it for Allison in front of all their friends and family. Does it get any better than that?
